Joe Klobusicky is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of Scranton. A proud Valley View High School alum, he holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Brown University. Dr. Klobusicky has experience outside of academia, with previous positions at Geisinger Health System as a data scientist and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where he worked on problems related to microfluidics. Most of his current research is in the fields of theoretical materials science and biology, using methods from probability, differential equations, and machine learning.
