Angelo Valletta and Dr. Kostas Hatalis

Angelo Valletta has been President and CEO at Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania since January 2021. He brings close to forty years of progressively responsible managerial experience in diverse industries with companies ranging in size from small consultants to multi-national firms, and is the author of the 7R’s of Leadership and Life.Prior to joining Ben Franklin Northeast, he served in several executive leadership roles at FISGlobal; was President and CEO of an independent Community Foundation; Senior Vice President and Chief Bank Operations and Information Officer at Sun National Bank; and Philadelphia Market Chief Information Officer at PNCBank. Valletta holds an MBA from Philadelphia University and a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems from Temple University.He is engaged in several nonprofit boards and committees, including the PA Governor Economic Development Transition Committee; Red Cross Rivers Chapter Board; GO PA Investment Committee; Alvernia University’s O’Pake Institute Innovation & Investment Board; Pierce College Technology Advisory Board, and chairs the Louis A. Valletta Endowed Scholarship at Temple University.


Dr. Kostas Hatalis is a seasoned entrepreneur and AI researcher. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on deep learning methods and multi-agent systems from Lehigh University, where he also completed B.S. degrees in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Business, as well as an M.S. in Computer Science with a thesis in computational neuroscience. Dr. Hatalis, with over two dozen AI-related publications, has held various high-impact research and consulting roles, including a postdoctoral research fellow focused on AI systems for smart cities, a consultant for the defense industry, and a quant for investment firms. As the founder and CEO of GoCharlie.AI, he currently leads the company’s Generative AI initiatives, in collaboration with the Stanford Research Institute and Ben Franklin TechVentures, to boost workflow productivity gains for enterprises.
