HSBPC Guidelines and Deliverables

Top tecBRIDGE High School Business Plan Competition submissions identify sustainable and scalable business concepts while demonstrating creativity, critical thinking, and strong presentation skills.
The tecBRIDGE High School Business Plan Competition consists of three deliverables:
- A written submission between 7 – 10 pages following standard APA guidelines including 1” Margins, Double Spacing, and 12 pt. Font. tecBRIDGE recognizes that Artificial Intelligence can be an important learning tool and encourages its use in the Competition (we will also encourage our Judges to assess AI usage in their scoring). tecBRIDGE believes Artificial Intelligence best serves student learning when it used for:
- Brainstorming
- Research
- Spelling and Grammar Checking
We do not encourage Artificial Intelligence to generate full paragraphs or question responses; please cite all references including use of any AI platforms.
- Financial Reports
- Financials – Cash Basis
- Financials – Accrual Basis
- A Powerpoint presentation for teams reaching the live presentation finals
- Suggested Presentation Format
Team Chaperones will share their team’s competition deliverables by email to the Executive Director.
A select group of entrepreneurs, business professionals, and educators will evaluate submissions to identify finalist teams that will move to a live presentation round. In the live presentation round teams will present their business plan presentations and answer judges’ questions.
Live presentation sessions consist of the following:
- Ten minute team presentation.2
- Ten minute Question and Answer session with judges.
- Ten minute judging period.
Chaperones, team family members, and interested community members are invited to watch all team participants at the live presentation finals.
tecBRIDGE High School Business Plan Competition Champions will be announced at the 24th Annual Business Plan Competition Awards Event at the FM Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026.

1 Only presentation content submitted by the deadline is eligible to be presented in the live presentation finals round (no updates will be accepted).
2 Teams exceeding ten minutes in their presentations will be asked to stop and move to the Q&A portion of the session.
